Khanom Kleep Lamduan or Thai Shortbread Cookies is my favourite cookies of all time. My first time making the cookies was when I was in my early teen as mom said, homemade dessert was always better than the store-bought one. The cookies resemble the white cheesewood or rumdul flower; a Cambodian national flower. In my recipe, I reduce the amount of sugar and add a little more salt, so the cookies are not too sweet. The cookies go very well with tea or coffee. You can keep them in an airtight container for a week.
